Three held in possession of animal hide

Nepal:  Police said three persons were arrested in possession of leopard skin from Baltar in Bigu Rural Municipality-4 in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Armed Police Force Inspector Suman Kumar BK from Charikot arrested Jagdish Khadka, Milan Gole of Bhimeshwor Municipality-2, Jagdish Khadka and Bhim Bahadur Tamang of Bigu Rural Municipality-4 today.

APF’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kiran Kumar Kathayat said the team recovered eight-feet long leopard skin from the smugglers.

 According to DSP Kathayat, APF handed the smugglers along with the seized animal hide to Gaurishankar Conservation Area Office in Charikot for further investigation and action.
