India: Five poachers were nabbed from Kuldiha reserve forest in Nilagiri of Balasore district and illegal arms seized from them, the police informed on Wednesday.

Acting on reliable inputs about the presence of poachers, the forest department officials conducted a raid in the forest reserve and zeroed in on as many as five persons involved in poaching of wild animals.

Following the raid, officials seized over 10 kg of venison and two illegal guns from the possession of the arrested persons.

While a case has been registered against the accused persons under relevant Sections of the IPC, they will soon be forwarded to the court, police further informed.
