India: The Haldia Forest Range official arrested a poacher from the Haldia forest area under ​​Chandka Wildlife Division.

The arrested has been identified as Dhaneshwar Jena (28) of Tangiapada in Khordha district.

The forest officials seized deer skin and a motorcycle from his possession.

According to forest officials, Dhaneshwar is a country-made liquor dealer and hunts deer from the forest and sells meat and skin.

Last night, while Dhaneshwar was going through Hamira village on his bike locals stopped him on suspicion of carrying country-made liquor. Later, he was thrashed by locals after he scolded them while they were trying to check his dickey.

The locals found deer skin from his dickey and informed Haldia Ranger Jaykrushna Panda.

After getting information, Panda and his team reached the spot and arrested Dhaneshwar.
