Severed tail of tiger recovered, 1 held

India: The forest department has arrested a person in connection with the mysterious death of tiger.  Forest officials claim that the nabbed person Ram Singh Vishwakarma has confessed that he has severed tail of tiger in his possession. The same has been seized by the officials. The discovery of a tiger’s body, few days ago, from which tail and paws were missing, had bewildered the forest officials. Ranger Dhirendra Singh Rajput and others have been suspended in the case.

The officials now claim that accused that allegedly chopped off paws from the body, is still absconding.  According to the forest officials Vishwakarma had allegedly confessed that he had severed tail but from dead tiger. Implying that tiger was already dead and he chopped off its tail.

Lala Ram, from whose house the officials have discovered a trap, is believed to be main accused. He is absconding. Forest department has conducted raids to nab him but so far he has managed to dodge them. Forest department has claimed that teams have close vigil on his activities and movement. His kin, too, have been rounded up by the department.

On Monday, a tiger was found dead in mysterious circumstance in Ratapani sanctuary and its tail and paws were found severed. Neither bullet injuries nor any injuries mark has been spotted on body. So prima facie forest department took it to be a case of black magic practice using organs of big cats. The organs of the big cat are believed to have medicinal value.

CCF (Bhopal circle) Dr SC Tiwari said, “We have arrested Ram Singh Vishwakarma and severed tail has been recovered from his possession. Lala Ram who has chopped off paws, sill absconding. Ranger Dhirendra Singh Rajput and others have been suspended in the connection with the tiger death. Investigation is on. Our teams have been pressed into job to trace out Lala Ram.”
