India: The Assam Rifles have recovered a huge quantity of wild animal parts in Nagaland's Kukidolong, including tiger and elephant bones.
Security personnel arrested two people in connection with the incident.
Based on a specific input, Assam Rifles' Medziphema battalion established a vehicle check post in Kukidolong.
A vehicle was intercepted at the check post, and security personnel recovered tiger and elephant bones from it.
The seized animal bones, which weighed 13 kgs, included a full skull with teeth, all four leg bones, a complete set of vertebra, a tail bone, ribs and the lower neck parts of a tiger.
The elephant skeleton parts included two ear and nostril bones.
The consignment was being smuggled by Sum John Ngaihte from Nagaland's Dimapur to Manipur's Churachandpur
