Two smugglers held with leopard skin

India: Police today claimed to have arrested two smugglers and recovered leopard skin from their possession at Manda Naka, under jurisdiction of Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu.

Police said that the accused duo has been identified namely as Rajinder Puri and Rajinder Verma.

Police spokesperson said, “During checking at Manda Naka, a motor cycle JK14A 8536 was stopped by police party.”

“During checking of the duo on the aforesaid motorcycle, police team found a bag and on its search police recovered skin of a leopard,” police said, adding, “the duo was arrested on the spot.’

Accordingly an FIR No. 130/2017 u/s 8/38(3)/49-A/51 stands registered at P/S Pacca Danga Jammu under relevant sections against the accused

The recovery has been made by SHO Pacca Danga Dheeraj Nagpal under the supervision of SDPO City North Varun Jandial, SP city North Vinod Kumar IPS and SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta IPS.
