Nepal:
Police have arrested two persons - Jayabahadur Bohara, 35, and Man Bahadur Mahata of Parashuram Municipality -7, Dadeldhura district - from Ghumtigada in the municipality in possession of leopard skins and bones.
A joint operation of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and Area Police Office of Jogbudha arrested them and seized two leopard pelts and the leopard bones weighing 8.7 kilos. The larger leopard skin is about 7 feet long and 2 feet 2 inch wide while the smaller one was 6 feet 4 inch long and, 1 foot 10 inch wide, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Dadeldhura.
The arrested duo have been handed over to the Area Forest Office at Jogbudha for necessary action, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bipin Karmacharya informed.
The arrested has admitted to have purchased the leopard skins and bones from Khalla Machheti forest areas in Kanchanpur district.
