A Pangolin was rescued from Gazipur

Bangladesh: Wildlife Crime Control Unit (WCCU) rescued a male Pangolin weighing nine kgs and approximately 12 years old from a house of Md. Shahjahan of Dakurail, Kaliakair, Gazipur. Talking to the local people, it was known that the Pangolin has been coming and going in that area for about two months. Some curious people posted a picture on Facebook of the Pangolin around 9.00 pm on 25 September and WCCU took the matter under the scrutiny. The pangolin was rescued on 29 September which was later sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park, Gazipur for treatment.
