Sri Lanka: Another two elephant calves which ‘Ali Roshan’ had kept in his possession on the strength of bogus documents were recovered yesterday from a land belonging to him in Aeraevvala in Pannipitiya. 

The Police Media Spokesman’s Office said that the two calves were taken into wildlife custody on an order obtained from the Kesbewa Magistrate Court.

Sir Lanka: The CID informed the Kesbewa Magistrate Court that the two elephant calves had been kept by preparing false documents.

Accordingly the CID and Wildlife officials jointly had recovered the two elephant calves from ‘Ali Roshan’s ‘land.

Reports say that the two elephant calves are aged between five and seven years.

The two calves are currently in the custody of the Dehiwela zoo.

A Wildlife Department official told our news team that the two elephant calves were scheduled to be taken to the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.

Another two elephants considered to have belonged to Niraj Roshan alias Ali Roshan’ were recovered first, last month  from a place in the vicinity of Kaduwela Navagamuwa Pattini Shrine when it had been kept in his possession without permit.
