Chinkara killed by poachers

India: A Chinkara was killed by poachers on the Ramgarh-Jaisalmer road, about 50 off Jaisalmer on Tuesday night when the animal was drinking water from a leak in the water supply line. Later, poachers have peeled its skin. By the time other vehicles reached the spot, the poachers had escaped. The wildlife department has lodged a case at Ramgarh police station for poaching and arms act. Search is on for the accused.
While thinking of taking the deceased deer, the poachers were spotted by Roop Singh, who was driving a limestone-loaded truck. He stopped the truck and shouted at the poachers following which, they fled. Roop Singh informed the car number to police. ASI Shyam Singh reached the spot with force and informed forest department after inspecting the spot.

Forster Sitaram Khatri and Shyam Sunder reached the spot and took the carcass of Chinkara in their possession. They said that the post mortem was conducted on Wednesday and search is on for the Bolero camper with number RJ 15 G 2186. tnnOn Ramgarh Jaisalmer road route, 50kms away form Jaisalmer, on Tuesday night a chinkara was quenching its thirst from the leakage water line when a poacher killed it by firing and peeled away its skin. When other vehicles reached the spot, the poacher succeeded in running away. The wildlife dept has lodged case at ramgarh police station for poaching and arms act and police have started searching for the poacher.

As per information from DFO Sudeep kaur Sharma and ramgarh police on Tuesday late night, poachers in bolero camper near joga fanta saw a deer drinking water from leaking water pipe and they fired on it. The bullet hit the deer on its neck and it fell down. The poacher came out of the car and cut its neck. The poachers would have taken the deer with them, when driver roop singh resident of joga in a truck carrying limestone saw them. He stopped the truck and raised alarm and the poachers ran away in the vehicle. Truck driver noting the number of the car informed police. ASI shyam singh reached the spot with force and inspected the spot and informed forest department.

Forster sitaram khatri and shyam sunder reached the spot and took the body of deer in their possession. They said on Wednesday post mortem was done and search is on for bolero car number Rj 15 G 2186.
