India: A wildlife photographer, who works as a software engineer in the city, was among four people arrested for illegally selling mounted trophies of tigers and a leopard.

The police have recovered three stuffed tigers and one black panther, which are alleged to have been obtained from a businessman in Mysuru. The accused are Ashwin Ramaswamy, 39, a techie who stays in Girinagar, K.V. Arun Kumar, 52, from Vidyaranyapura, Jagadish, 41, from Gayatrinagar, and Rajashekhar, 46, from Mysuru. A case has been filed at the Shankarpuram police station.

According to the investigators, the four had brought the trophies for illegal sale from Mysuru. They had kept the trophies in a van and were attempting to sell it in the city.

The owner of the trophies claimed to have received them from a Dutch company. The animals are believed to have been killed decades ago and then stuffed.
