India: Police arrested four red sanders smugglers, including Iruguri Naresh, an aide of international red sanders smuggler Hameed Sahul Bhai of Dubai and Kandaswamy and Subramani of Singapore.
The police seized 50 red sanders logs, four cars, three auto-rickshaws and a motorcycle from them, Rajampet DSP A. Rajendra told the media on Saturday.
Railway Kodur circle inspector Rasool Saheb and staff, who were checking vehicles at Billupatipalle in Railway Kodur mandal, chased a Bolero car without any registration number and arrested Iruguri Naresh and Naresh, when they tried to speed away without stopping. Seven logs were seized from the vehicle.
On information given by the duo, Railway Kodur sub-inspector Manjunatha and staff arrested Gangaiah and Narasimha Reddy, seized 43 red sanders logs and thee auto-rickshaws, Qualis, Alto and Vista cars and a motorcycle, the DSP said.

The accused confessed that they had been selling the contraband to Hameed Sahul Bhai of Dubai, Subramani and Kandaswamy of Singapore, Mani of Tiruthani, Venkatesh of Red Hills and Bhaskar of Annanagar, all in Tamil Nadu.
They admitted to be selling the red sanders logs to Chen Changu, Chen Changai, K.V. Dawood Jagai, D. Padmanabhan, Ameer Khaja and Firoz Dastagiri, all red sanders smugglers.
