India:The soldiers of SSB’s 53rd Battalion Simlabari seized armaments and an elephant tusk from Jaigaon today. One man named Manju Miyan, a local of Jaigaon, was arrested in connection to this.

Manju Miyan was arrested with the arms and the elephant tusk in his possession after the soldiers of the battalion received a tip off about him at 1:30 pm today. He was caught during a joint operation that involved the police and the forest officials as well.

The seized items include one revolver, one pipe gun, three rounds of bullets and one elephant tusk weighing 285 grams. These items, along with Manju Miyan, have now been handed over to the Jaigaon Police.
