Man arrested for killing male deer

India:  A man was arrested for allegedly killing a deer near Baja valley in Manipur forest range under Gariyaband forest division.
A male spotted deer was found dead in Mainpur enclave under Gariyaband forest division on December 27. A set of bow and arrow was also recovered from the incident place. The forest team arrested accused Shriram Singh, a resident of village Behradih under Wildlife (Protection) Act.Besides, seven other accused involved in poaching of the male spotted deer are also in custody. A case was registerd under Wildlife (Protection) Act. Strict action is being taken against them.

The action was taken by a team formed under the leadership of Gariyaband forest officer Mayank Agarwal as per the instructions of chief conservator of forests Raipur, JR Nayak and under the guidance of principal chief conservator of forests (Wildlife) PV Narsingh Rao.
According to the instructions of the forest min Mohammad Akbar, the forest department is running campaigns and conducting surprise inspections to take action against illegal cutting of trees and poaching of wildlife.
