Man held with leopard skin in India

India: A 52-year-old man from Ratnagiri has been arrested with leopard skin.The Crime Branch Unit III of the Navi Mumbai Police nabbed Ashrap Chipolkar after laying a trap for him near Little World Mall last week. An unidentified person from Dapoli gave the leopard skin to Mr. Chipolkar, who was to give it to someone in Kalyan, who was in turn supposed to hand it over to another individual. “The accused doesn't know who killed the leopard. We will soon arrest the wanted accused from Dapoli and Kalyan,” police inspector Vijay Kadbane from Unit III said. Mr. Chipolkar has been arrested under sections of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
