India: Forest officials on Thursday arrested Kumar alias Karuvadu Kumar (34) of Kannimala lower division in Munnar in connection with trapping and hunting of a leopard. He was arrested under Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.
The leopard was found dead inside Kannimala lower division in Munnar on August 8. According to Munnar range officer Hareendrakumar the leopard is listed in schedule 1 of the wildlife act.
