India: Pithoragarhpolice on Thursday arrested one Trilok Singh Bisht, a resident of village Jayal, with three leopard skins on Pithoragarh-Jhulaght road, near Nepal border. The skins were smuggled from Nepal
This is the fourth such case from January this year and with this 10 leopard skins have been seized so far and five people have been arrested.
"We got a tip off that a person had smuggled leopard skin from Nepal and the special operation group laid a trap at Wadda," Ajay Joshi, SP Pithoragarh said.
One Dhani Chand of Nepal's Baitadi district met Bisht and asked him to deliver the skins to someone in Pithoragarh, the SP said, adding that two skins are 8-feet long and one is 7 feet
