One Person Arrested for Hunting a Leopardess.

India: One person has been arrested for hunting a leopardess in the Neemuch forests. The accused has been identified as Madanlal, hailing from Jiran. He was presented on December 15 before the Chief Judicial Magistrate and has been sentenced to the district jail after preliminary hearing.

Sub Divisional Officer (Forest), BP Sharma has shared that a dead leopardess was found in the Jiran forests by the forest staff while patrolling on November 18.  A case was registered in this regard.

Acting on a tip-off, officials launched a search in the forest’s revenue limit and walked in on the accused while he was setting up a noose for hunting. Upon further interrogation, the culprit admitted to his crime and has subsequently been sentenced to 14 days of judicial remand.
