India: The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel on Thursday recovered 58 red sanders logs from a dump in the forest under Karakambadi beat, 25 km from here. The logs weighing two tonnes are worth of Rs 40 lakh, according to Task Force DSP Sridhar Rao. 

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Sridhar Rao said three persons moving suspiciously near Mamandur forest area were nabbed by  task force team combing the area. The intense questioning of the trio led the task force to a unearth dump in forest near Mamandur.

In another incident, task force personnel acting on a tip off launched search operation behind Sri Venkateswara Zoo Park area leading to the arrest of ten persons including nine from Tiruchirappalli district in Tamil Nadu and a local from Renigunta  near Tirupati.
