India: In combing operations to apprehend red sanders smugglers, police and forest officials seized 18 logs of red sanders near Seshachalam forest area on Tuesday. Eight labourers who were engaged by smugglers to transport the logs were arrested. While some of the labourers reportedly ran away, among those who were arrested, six were from Rangapeta in Chandragiri mandal in the district.
