Nepal: Acting on a tip-off, central investigation bureau of Nepal police, arrested three smugglers from Jadibuti, Kathmandu and detained a leopard skin from their possession on 19 September, 2016. The arrestees were identified as Tikaram Shrestha (40), Panchalal Tamang (30) both hailing from Panchkhal municipality, Kavrepalanchowk district and Mote Tamang (36) of Devitar VDC of the same district.

The offence was illegal and charged them according to national parks and wildlife conservation act, 1973. They were handed over to district forests office, Kathmandu for further actions.
