Tiger claws, bones seized

India: Forest department officials seized two tiger claws, two teeth and a few tiger bones from the houses of two accused involved in poaching a tiger at Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve (STR) here recently.

The seizures were made following a confession from two accused Anand (28) and Siddaraj (30) of Thiginarai village in Talavadi range that comes under the Hassanur Forest Division. They revealed that they killed a tiger and divided the claws among friends. Officials recovered the claws, teeth and bones from their houses. They were produced in the court and lodged at prison.

Officials said that search is on for two other accused that is still at large
