Two arrested with big cat derivatives

Surkhet -Nepal:  A joint operation of Nepal Police and Central Investigation Bureau (CIB)  resulted in an arrest of two people with tiger and common leopard derivatives on Saturday, 7 March 2015 in Birendranagar-20, Surkhet District of western Nepal. The arrested are locals identified as Divya Thapa aged 34 and Bhakta Bahadur Ranamagar aged 32. They were arrested with a tiger skin length 10 feet 9 inch and its bone weighing  11.79 kilogram along with a common leopard skin  length 6 feet 11 inch and 6.745 kilogram of leopard bones, which were stored inside the house of  Dhanishara Rana Magar. According to the police, the accused has been handed over to District Forest Office Surkhet for further investigation and prosecution under the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 1973.
