Two arrested with red panda skins and deer horns

Nepal: A team of Nepal Police from Kharanitar, Nuwakot district, arrested Alaichi Pandey, 33, inhabitant of Sundaradevi-2, with one dried skin of Red Panda from the culprit's house on 1st November, 2014. Similarly, a patrolling team of Nepal Police from Nirmalbasti, Parsa district, nabbed an Indian citizen, Mr. Bharat Shah, 45, inhabitant of Raksaul, India with two units of deer horns on 1st November, 2014 while he was transporting the contraband to India. Both the cases are under investigation. According to the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1972, the crime is punishable upto 50 to 100 thousands NRs and/or five to 15 years prison or both. (Source: Nepal Police)
