Two held with tiger bones in Khulna

Bangladesh: In an operation, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged smugglers with tiger bones from Ferryghat near Betbunia Bazar in Paikgachha upazila in Khulna on Wednesday evening, reports news agency UNB.

The arrestees were identified as Golam Rasul, 45, son of Wazed Gazi of Baghba village in Koyra upazila, and Khalil Gazi, 32, son of Moktar Gazi of Betbunia village in the upazila.

RAB sources said they contacted the arrested smugglers in the guise of tiger bone buyers.

When the smugglers came to sell the bones in the Ferryghat area, the RAB members arrested them along with 15 pieces of bones weighing 2.1 kg, said additional police super Md Enayet Hossain Mannan, special company commander of RAB-6, in a press briefing on Thursday morning.
