Two Kenya Wildlife Service rangers and one poacher have been killed in two separate gunfights in the Kipini Conservancy in Tana County, Mombasa. The first incident happened when a team of rangers encountered a group of poachers while on a routine patrol. A ranger was killed and the team was forced to retreat. The second incident occurred when the rangers, along with Kenya police officers, came back for the body. It turns out the poacher gang was waiting for them and another ranger got killed.
