The Office of the District Attorney of Venezuela began a campaign against the illegal trafficking of endangered wildlife. Luisa Ortega Diaz, Attorney General, said ministry officials met with representatives of the National Guard, the National Police and other security forces of the state to 'initiate actions to combat wildlife trafficking, not only nationally but internationally." Ortega Diaz revealed that one of the first steps will be the placement of posters across the city and the distribution of information material to raise public awareness about the dangers of wildlife trafficking and the trauma they suffer.
